Raquel Hernández wins the 2nd Young Promises of Aragonese Cuisine Competition 'Rubén Ríos'.
The valuation criteria for this competition include flavour, presentation, originality and the importance of food from Aragon.
With her dish "Ato aragonés", the young Raquel Hernández, a student of the Hotel School of IES Juan de Lanuza, in Borja (Zaragoza), has won the second edition of the Young Promises of Aragonese Cuisine Competition, which took place in the facilities of the Master D School of Hotel and Tourism, in PLAZA, Zaragoza.
Raquel said she wanted to represent a traditional dish, and she decided on lamb as the main ingredient because it is a product she loves and has so many possibilities.
Sergio López, from the TOPI Hotel School, won second prize with his "Lamb in its juice with chocolate and potatoes" and Sara Correa, from IES Matarraña, Valderrobres, Teruel, won third place with her proposal: " Trout Aragonese style".
The president of the Aragonese chefs thanked us for not only providing the 3 Claveles professional knives as prizes, but also for supporting the association in all the actions they carry out.
It is a pleasure for us to contribute to the growth of these young professionals.
